Training and Support

Gypsies & Travellers Wales is funded by Big Lottery Community Fund to deliver this service.

The aim of the project is to bring about improvements to communities and to the lives of people in need. Aimed at supporting Gypsies and Travellers aged 16+ in Cardiff to develop and increase skills and confidence for employment or training.

By providing regular advice and support around finding, securing and sustaining work and in encouraging people to develop existing skill sets or interests as well as valuing entrepreneurship, we support Gypsies and Travellers to gain and build on the qualifications and experience needed for employment which includes, 1-2-1 mentoring to develop essential skills through workshops (CV writing, job applications) and IT skills support.

A well-being element is now included within this project to ensure people are supported with mental health, confidence and mindfullness.
