Moving For Change’s Adrian Jones has been in talks with the UK Government’s Department for Levelling Up about funding for much needed Gypsy and Traveller sites. As a result of those discussions the Government has launched a new ‘Traveller Site Fund’ which could improve sites, give new communal spaces, temporary stopping places, permanent and transit sites and pitches.
There are not enough safe and legal spaces for Gypsy and Traveller families to stop in any local council area in England.
