We are pleased to announce that Gypsies and Travellers Wales will continue to support the community thanks to National Lottery funding
Gypsies and Travellers Wales are helping Gypsies and Travellers across South Wales to adapt, recover and thrive, thanks to National Lottery players, through the Skills, Wellbeing, Employment and Learning project. Over the next five years it will support individuals to move towards employment and independence, focussing on improving well-being whilst developing confidence, knowledge, and skills. It will offer a mix of practical and emotional support to Gypsies and Travellers. Individuals will be able to work on progressing skills and employment goals, whilst simultaneously accessing help with other issues such as housing, financial problems, and engaging with other services though our in-house advice and support team. Most importantly, we will be working with people at their own pace and offering ongoing support, through setbacks and after they move into education or employment.
Gypsies and Travellers Wales successfully applied for £362,588 from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Jasmine Jones, the Coordinator at Gypsies and Travellers Wales said: “This funding is allowing us to continue and expand our support to Gypsies and Travellers to improve their skills and develop their confidence to enable them to move them closer to their employment and life goals.”
